The goal is to save lives — two hands at a time.

It’s the third year that companies worldwide have participated in the effort to keep hands clean.

According to researchers, handwashing isn’t only a good practice, but can also save money by preventing illnesses that could end in a visit to the doctor.

Eighty-three countries participated in the handwashing initiative in 2009.
